Registered Electrical Contractors
1. General
1.1 These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by 24/7 Electrical Ltd ("the Company") to the customer ("the Client").
1.2 By booking a service or accepting a quotation, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms.
2. Quotations and Estimates
2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
2.2 Estimates are provided as a guide; the final price may vary based on unforeseen site conditions or changes in material costs.
2.3 Any additional work requested by the Client that is not in the original quote will be charged at the Company’s standard hourly rate plus materials.
3. Emergency 24/7 Services
3.1 Emergency call-outs are subject to a minimum call-out charge, which will be communicated at the time of the booking.
3.2 24/7 service availability is subject to engineer capacity and safe access to the property.
4. Payments and Deposits
4.1 For larger projects (e.g., rewires or solar installations), a deposit may be required before work commences.
4.2 Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.3 24/7 Electrical Ltd reserves the right to charge interest on late payments at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
5. Workmanship and Materials
5.1 All work will be carried out in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
5.2 The Company provides a 12-month guarantee on workmanship. This does not cover wear and tear, accidental damage, or interference by third parties.
5.3 Materials supplied are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
6. Client Obligations
6.1 The Client must ensure clear and safe access to the working area.
6.2 The Client is responsible for ensuring that all furniture and fragile items are moved or protected before work begins.
6.3 The Client must ensure that the property has a valid power and water supply (unless otherwise agreed for specific repairs).
7. Cancellations
7.1 Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee.
7.2 If the engineer arrives on-site and cannot gain access, a standard call-out fee will apply.
8. Liability
8.1 24/7 Electrical Ltd maintains Public Liability Insurance.
8.2 The Company is not liable for any pre-existing faults in the Client’s electrical system discovered during the course of work.
8.3 The Company will take all reasonable care but is not responsible for minor cosmetic damage (e.g., plaster cracks or lifting floorboards) necessary to carry out the installation or repair.
9. Complaints
9.1 We aim for 100% satisfaction. Any complaints should be directed to the Company via the contact details above within 7 days of the work being completed. As an NICEIC registered contractor, we follow a strict code of conduct for dispute resolution.
