Garden & OutdoorLighting Installation
Transform your outdoor space with professionally designed and installed LED garden lighting. Pathway lights, uplighting, security floods, and smart controls — all weatherproof, energy-efficient, and beautifully integrated.
Professional Outdoor Lighting Design
Garden lighting is the single most effective way to transform an outdoor space. Done well, it extends your living area, enhances security, and adds genuine value to your property. Done poorly — or with cheap DIY kits — it looks tacky, fails quickly, and can be genuinely dangerous.
What professional garden lighting achieves:
- Security — illuminated properties are significantly less likely to be targeted by intruders
- Safety — lit pathways, steps, and changes in level prevent trips and falls
- Ambience — layered lighting creates atmosphere for entertaining and relaxation
- Kerb appeal — first impressions start at your front garden and entrance
- Extended use — enjoy your garden after dark through every season
We design and install outdoor lighting for properties across South London and Kent — from compact terraced gardens in Penge to large landscaped plots in Edenbridge and Westerham.

Types of Garden Lighting We Install
Pathway & Step Lighting
Low-level bollards, recessed ground lights, and step-mounted LED strips illuminate walkways safely and elegantly. Essential for uneven surfaces, garden steps, and changes in level.
Uplighting & Feature Lighting
Directional spike lights or recessed uplighters positioned at the base of trees, architectural features, and planting beds create dramatic effects. Adjustable beam angles allow precise highlighting.
Patio & Deck Lighting
Recessed deck lights, mounted wall lights, and overhead festoon or pergola lighting transform entertaining areas. Dimmable options let you set the mood for dining or relaxation.
Security & Motion Lighting
PIR-activated floodlights and dusk-to-dawn sensors for entrance areas, driveways, and perimeters. Visible deterrents that also provide practical illumination when you arrive home.
Smart Outdoor Controls
Zone-controlled lighting managed from your smartphone or integrated with your smart home system. Create scenes for entertaining, set automated schedules, and manage everything remotely.

Garden Lighting FAQs
Common questions about outdoor lighting design, installation, and running costs.
Signs You're Ready for Proper Garden Lighting
Garden lighting is the upgrade most homeowners regret leaving until 'next year'. Here's when to stop putting it off.
All permanent outdoor wiring must be RCD-protected, properly bonded and certified to BS 7671 — DIY runs of indoor cable are a serious shock and fire risk.
- You can't safely walk to the bins, shed or back gate after 5pm in winter
- You've spent good money on landscaping nobody can see in the evening
- Your only outdoor light is a single, glaring 150W floodlight
- You'd like to use the patio or deck on summer evenings without head-torches
- You've installed an outdoor kitchen, hot tub or garden office
- Existing outdoor fittings are corroded, cracked or full of water
- Security cameras can't pick out faces past about 4 metres at night
- Your existing 'garden cable' is just an extension lead through the cat-flap

Worried About Garden Lighting Work?
Outdoor work has its own challenges. Here's how we plan around them.
"Will my garden be wrecked while you dig trenches?"
We use turf-cutters where possible, agree exact cable routes with you on plan, and keep excavation to the bare minimum. Lawns recover within weeks, not months.
"Won't outdoor wiring just fail in a few winters?"
We use SWA (steel-wired armoured) cable underground, IP65/IP66 fittings, marine-grade glands and stainless screws. Properly installed outdoor wiring lasts 25 years plus.
"Will it be too bright and annoy the neighbours?"
We design with warm-white (2700–3000K) fittings, tight beam angles and dimming. Light is aimed where it's wanted, not blasted across boundaries.
"What about smart control without it being a faff?"
Most installs include a simple dusk-to-dawn photocell plus an indoor wall switch — and optional app/voice control if you want it. The wall switch always works as a fallback.
